Three Types of Land Clearing Results When Removing Brush and Cedar Trees

When you clear brush and cedar trees from your property, you get three different results. The type you choose depends on how you want your land to look when we're done.

Many property owners in Norman and central Oklahoma have overgrown land with thick brush and cedar trees. These can make your property hard to use and can be a fire risk. Oklahoma Forestry Services recommends clearing overgrown vegetation to reduce wildfire danger. Land clearing removes these problems, but you can choose how much to remove.

Type 1: Basic Brush Cleanup

The first type removes only the small brush that has built up over time. We clear out the thick undergrowth, brambles, and small plants that make walking through your property difficult. All the trees stay in place.

This option works well if you want to keep your trees but need better access to your land. Your property will look cleaner and be easier to walk through, but it will still have a natural, wooded feel. This is the fastest and most affordable option.

Type 2: Managed Forest Look

The second type removes all the brush plus any trees that are three inches wide or smaller. This includes small cedar trees and other young trees that have grown up in your brush.

When we finish, your property looks like a managed forest. You can see through the trees easily. The bigger trees stay, but all the small stuff is gone. This gives you a clean, open feel while keeping your mature trees. Many people choose this option because it balances a natural look with better usability.

Type 3: Park-Like Setting

The third type removes all brush and all trees that are twelve inches wide or smaller. This includes most cedar trees and many other smaller trees on your property.

When we finish, your property looks like a park. You have wide open spaces with only the biggest, most mature trees remaining. This option gives you the most usable space and the cleanest look. It's perfect if you plan to build, add landscaping, or want maximum open space.

Which Type Should You Choose?

Think about how you want to use your property. If you just need better access and want to keep things natural, Type 1 works well. If you want a balance between natural and usable, Type 2 is a good choice. If you want maximum open space and a clean look, Type 3 is best.
